In September 2013, Clearfield County HSH Coordinator Paul Yoder, registered Hunters Sharing the Harvest with the Wal-Mart Foundation. As part of its philosophy, Wal-Mart believes of operating globally and giving back locally. And its associates are active members of their local communities – getting involved with the charitable organizations that matter the most to them and their families. Through the Volunteerism Always Pays (VAP) program, the Wal-Mart Foundation awards grants to eligible organizations where associates volunteer. In 2012 Wal-Mart associates volunteered more than 2.2 million hours and generated more than $18 million in local grants through the VAP program. HSH is proud to be part of the Wal-Mart volunteer program and thanks the associates from Clearfield and Cambria counties who have volunteered over 136 hours to HSH.
