Heather Clark Elected to Hunters Sharing the Harvest Board of Directors

Heather Clark was recently elected to the board of directors of Hunters Sharing the Harvest (HSH) — Pennsylvania’s nationally emulated venison donation program.

Clark began volunteering for HSH in 2016 and is currently the county coordinator for both Wyoming and Lackawanna counties.

Over the past 16 years, Clark has served in several leadership roles including most recently as the chief administrative officer for Huntzinger, a national healthcare information technology consulting firm founded in Dallas, Pennsylvania. She provides strategic leadership and oversees the day-to-day operations. She leads several functional areas including human resources and talent acquisition. She enjoys developing long-standing, trusted and successful teams, playing a critical role in service delivery. As a strategic leader, Clark has a proven record of producing solutions to complex situations and driving creative thinking.

“The board of directors of HSH is excited to welcome Heather into our ranks,” said Bill Sordoni, board chairman. “Heather has served for many years as a county coordinator and brings to the board her extensive professional background in human resources and business leadership. We’re excited to work with her moving forward as we continue to build this great organization.”

Clark’s professional background includes policy development/deployment, strategic planning, risk mitigation, and contractual compliance. Outside of her day job she enjoys helping others find their path through business and career coaching.

Clark has a passion for social service, community and conservation. She is an avid outdoorsman with a love for education surrounding hunting and investing in the future of the sport and the children who will be a part of it. She is a graduate of Leadership Wyoming and an advocate in her community supporting programs such as the Food Emergency Distribution Program (FED) and serving on the board of education for the Lackawanna Trail School District.

“Heather has proven herself as an actively engaged volunteer coordinator, taking on new responsibilities with enthusiasm and contributing significantly to our effectiveness in northeast Pennsylvania,” said Randy Ferguson, HSH executive director. “I’m so pleased to welcome her to the board of directors and to see where her contributions take us.”

“The accomplishments of HSH continue to amaze me. The program has never lost sight of its purpose to serve our most vulnerable populations and exceed all expectations, year after year,” said Clark. “HSH uniquely pairs my love for hunting, wildlife conservation, social service, community and education. The generous hunters, volunteers, sponsors, legislators, state and local agencies, and leadership team are the backbone of HSH, and I am grateful for all they do to support the long-term success of the program and its mission. I’m honored to have been asked to be a part of the future of HSH and I’m excited for what it will continue to bring to the Commonwealth and its communities.”

Clark holds several board and leadership positions. She is past president of the board of directors of the Northeast Pennsylvania Chapter of Society of Human Resources Management, serves on the board of directors of Skills in Scranton (affiliate of the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce), and most recently was appointed to the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce board of directors. She has served as subject matter expert and adjunct professor for the development and teaching of courses at the university level.

Clark earned a master’s degree in organizational management and human resources from Misericordia University and a bachelor’s degree in industrial organizational psychology from Marywood University. She is a Senior Certified Human Resource Professional (SHRM-SCP), a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), and a member of the National Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She holds several other certifications including business communications and SHRM’s Veterans at Work.

Clark lives in Factoryville with her husband Bill and their two children Bryce and Brielle.
