John Plowman, executive director of Hunters Sharing the Harvest receives a Senate Resolution from Melissa Knepper from the office of Senator Rich Alloway a long time advocate of HSH, proclaiming 25 years of service to those less fortunate throughout Pennsylvania by helping to feed the hungry. The renewable wildlife resource provides nutritious meals by way of the compassion and stewardship of Pennsylvania’s hunting community and the support of the PA Game Commission and the PA Dept of Agriculture. Participating sportsmen and hunting communities statewide can be proud of the record numbers of donated meat achieved each season through the HSH mission. “Without the donated deer from our hunters this program would not exist,” stated Plowman. “There is a deer processor and a food bank or soup kitchen in your county waiting to received venison from HSH. Please visit www.sharedeer.org/processors to find one near you. There is no cost to donate your extra deer. Thank you.
