Winners chosen for HSH-Cabela’s Giveaway promotion

Congratulations to the winners of the HSH-Cabela Outdoor World giveaway who received a $100.00 gift card to Cabela’s as part of their HSH sponsorship. 20 names were drawn from last season’s deer donors during the annual HSH press event held in Harrisburg at the Central PA Food Bank. The lucky winners will be receiving the cards in the mail just in time for hunting season.

Thank you to the more than 2400 deer that were donated by hunters to the HSH program last season. Since September of this year over 9,000 pounds of venison has been donated, processed and delivered to area food banks. Hunters Sharing the Harvest is hoping to meet or exceed its annual goal of delivering 100,000 pounds of venison during the 2015-2016 season. “We are on our way to meeting our goal,” said John Plowman, executive director, commenting on the largest number of deer donated during an archery season to date. Hunters, if you plan to donate a deer, be sure to clearly and completely fill out the donor receipts when you drop off your deer to an HSH processor. These receipts are used for the drawing.
