For the HSH team, it’s with sincere regret that we’ve just learned that veteran HSH county coordinator, Paul T. Yoder, 79, from Philipsburg, passed away February 2nd, following complications from a stroke.
Paul was our program’s most senior and experienced volunteer county representative, being appointed by Ken Brandt with 30+ years of continuous active service dating back to our start in 1991.
He was a semi-retired registered pharmacist working with many retail drug stores. He was also an active big-game hunter, harvested and donated a PA elk and was a well-known personality advocating for hunters and wildlife management throughout Centre and Clearfield Counties.
From the beginning, Paul helped write the county representative job specs and criteria, and loyally served his HSH mission at 100%, ranging from sending or even transporting hunters with donation deer to the processors to delivering finished venison burger to various local food pantries and needy families.
He will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace, Paul!
