Pennsdale Country Store Provides Major Venison Donation to Sullivan Co. Food Bank

Thanks to the generosity of the Country Store’s owner Tom Springman and the Hunters Sharing the Harvest venison charity, the Sullivan Co. Food Pantry recently received an additional consignment of over 1,500 lbs. of high-value processed venison products for upgrading holiday meals for families in need.

Pictured with part of the trailer-load of meat en route to Dushore and Forksville freezers is HSH County Rep. Steve Szoke, Country Store’s Manager Tracy Kitner, HSH Program Director John Plowman and Deveron Wilcox, food pantry volunteer and the county’s 2018 Citizen of the Year. In addition, to further support the food pantry’s work a $500 donation was made thru the Springman’s and Keith Rohrer, residents of Bear Mountain.
